Key Updates and Compatibility
Echo Cancellation: Unlike V1, where echo cancellation is manually selectable (8, 16, 32, 64, 128 ms, default 16 ms), V2 offers On/Off selection with echo reduction enabled by default for improved call clarity.
Service/Line Status Indication: V2 supports automatic detection of idle lines, allowing card LEDs and System Status Application to display whether each line is idle or in use, unlike V1 which only shows card installation and line usage.
Impedance Matching: V2 enables automatic impedance matching at system startup by default, usable in all locales. Manual or no matching is still available if required.
Compatibility: Compatible with IP Office 8.1.63 (Feature Pack 1) or higher. Requires an IP500 base card with an empty daughter card slot, including Digital Station 8, Analog Phone 2/8, ETR 6, TCM 8, VCM 32, or VCM 64.
