Radio Technology
The PTP 700 operates in wide-band RF frequencies from 4.4 to 5.925 GHz, supporting NATO Band IV, NTIA, 4.9 GHz Public, FCC 5.x GHz, and ETSI 5 GHz bands. It supports channel sizes from 5 MHz to 45 MHz with a spectral efficiency of up to 10 bps/Hz. Dynamic Spectrum Optimization (DSO) or manual selection ensures interference-free operation. Maximum transmit power is 27 dBm at BPSK and 23 dBm at 256 QAM, with system gain up to 161 dB. Receiver sensitivity reaches -97 dBm on a 5 MHz channel, while modulation uses Fast Preemptive Adaptive Modulation (BPSK to 256 QAM). Antenna options include integrated 21 dBi flat panel or connectorized external antennas, with a range of up to 124 miles (200 km). Security features include 128/256-bit AES encryption, HTTPS, SNMPv3, FIPS-197, and optional FIPS 140-2 Level 2 compliance.
Ethernet Bridging & Performance
Supports IEEE 802.3 protocol, with user throughput up to 450 Mbps (2×2, 45 MHz channel, 256 QAM). Latency is 1–3 ms, with 8 QoS queues and packet classification via Layer 2/3 IEEE 802.1p, MPLS, Ethernet priority. Packet performance reaches line rate (>850K packets/sec). Timing transport supports Synchronous Ethernet and optional IEEE 1588v2.
Management & Installation
LED indicators show power, Ethernet link, and PoE status. Network management is supported in-band and out-of-band, with IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, MIB-II, proprietary PTP MIB, and optional Cambium Wireless Manager (WM 4.0/SP4 or higher). Built-in audio and graphical assistance simplify installation. Outdoor unit connects via Power-over-Gigabit Ethernet up to 100 m, or fiber up to 300 m.
