Yeastar’s modular architecture lets you mix and match telephony interfaces to match each deployment’s needs — simply install the modules that provide the required input and output channels rather than buying a new PBX. The MyPBX S2 is a compact expansion module that adds two FXS ports to a MyPBX system, turning standard IP PBX chassis into hybrid platforms that support both IP and analog endpoints.
FXS ports on the S2 supply line power and dial tone to analog devices, so you can connect desk phones, cordless handsets, and fax machines directly to the PBX without additional adapters. The ports also support typical analog features such as ring voltage and caller ID delivery, enabling full legacy-device functionality within a modern VoIP environment.
The S2 is designed for broad compatibility: it fits into all Yeastar MyPBX models — from the SOHO and Standard lines through Pro and Enterprise — and is fully usable in the S-Series platforms. This makes it easy to preserve existing analog equipment and migrate at your own pace while adding IP features. Installation is straightforward: hot-swappable (depending on the chassis), plug-in module design with simple configuration through the MyPBX web GUI.
Typical use cases include keeping a reception desk on an analog phone, supporting fax endpoints, maintaining legacy intercoms, or providing analog failover. By combining modular flexibility, simple management, and analog support, the MyPBX S2 helps organizations protect prior investments while expanding telephony capabilities.
