The IC693ALG223 is a PACSystems Series 90-30 RX3i 16-channel analog current input module. Each single-ended channel supports configurable ranges of 4–20 mA, 0–20 mA, or 4–20 mA Enhanced, with both high and low alarm capabilities. In Enhanced mode, a low alarm can detect open-wire faults in 4–20 mA applications, while user-defined high alarms provide additional monitoring.
The module reports operational and power supply status to the CPU and is compatible with any I/O slot featuring a serial connector in RX3i or Series 90-30 systems. It consumes 120 mA from the 5 VDC bus and 65 mA plus loop current from a +24 VDC user-supplied source. It features a 6 ms update rate with 250 VAC continuous isolation (or 1500 VAC for 1 minute).
Channel scanning occurs in serial order, with analog values factory-calibrated for full-range converter scaling. RX3i racks support firmware upgrades for this module (not supported on 90-30 racks). LED indicators (ON, OFF, FAIL) aid in operation and troubleshooting.
