The LST7SFUEX100 is a core switching fabric unit designed for use in Huawei’s S12700E series switches. It can be installed in slots 07 and 08 of the S12700E-4 chassis, and in slots 11 to 14 of the S12700E-8 chassis.
Functions
This module provides the high-speed, non-blocking data plane for the entire system, enabling seamless data switching between service modules. It comprises:
- Switching module: Delivers high-speed service channels for efficient data switching.
- Local clock module: Supplies synchronized clock signals to key internal chips.
- Power supply module: Powers the LST7SFUEX100 board.

Redundancy Backup
The LST7SFUEX100 supports N+1 hot standby. Multiple cards operate in redundancy mode to ensure continuous system operation. If one SFU fails, service traffic is automatically rerouted to other active SFUs to maintain uninterrupted services.
