Power over Ethernet (PoE) Support
The Aruba Instant On 1830 Switch Series is available in 8-, 24-, and 48-port configurations, supporting both non-PoE and Class 4 PoE models. Each PoE port can deliver up to 30W, making it suitable for powering a wide range of devices. With a mix of PoE and non-PoE ports in a single switch, these models offer a cost-efficient solution for various deployment needs.
Flexible Management Options
Easily configure and manage the 1830 switches with two intuitive options: Instant On Cloud Management — accessible via mobile app or web portal — or the built-in local web GUI. Both methods provide streamlined control to suit your management preferences.
Advanced Security Features
Protect your network and business data with built-in security functionalities including VLAN support, automatic denial-of-service (DoS) protection, global storm control, and TPM (Trusted Platform Module)-based security. These features help prevent unauthorized access and maintain data integrity.
Energy-Efficient Operation
The 1830 Switch Series is engineered for energy savings and quiet operation. Features such as Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az), automatic port power-off, energy-efficient cooling, and fanless design contribute to lower power consumption and reduced operational costs, while minimizing noise levels.
SFP Fiber Uplink Ports
To avoid network congestion, the 24- and 48-port models include two and four dedicated 1G SFP fiber uplinks, respectively. These ports enhance uplink bandwidth and allow for longer-distance connectivity compared to standard copper cabling.
PoE-Powered Device (PD) Capability
Ideal for tight or remote spaces, the 8-port non-PoE model can be powered by an upstream PoE switch or injector, eliminating the need for dedicated power outlets. This feature offers greater flexibility for installations where traditional wiring is impractical.
